Our Academies

Our academies in Cricket and Performing Arts are aimed at giving all our students excellent opportunities in the disciplines of cricket, drama, music and dance.

The academies are based on a three-tier programme in which all students participate:

Grow: Giving opportunity to all pupils to grow their understanding and ability
Achieve: Developing and refining skills
Inspire: Excellence and performance to inspire all

At the heart of our academies is the opportunity for all our students to develop their skills. But that development goes beyond the specific disciplines and ensures that pupils build confidence, character, teamwork and traditional values that will stand them in good stead throughout their school life and for life after school.

An all-round education

Our academies form part of an exceptional all-round education.

Small classes and personalised pathways give every young person at Gosfield School the opportunity to be the best they can. The Senior School and Sixth Form inhabit an elegant Georgian manor, while the Prep School and Nursery benefit from purpose-built contemporary architecture. Both embrace a wide range of academic subjects delivered through personalised pathways to class groups that average 20 pupils.

"We expect every individual to reach and grow beyond their academic predictions from the point they join us."
Gosfield School Leadership Team

Academic rigour is accompanied by an equally strong focus on personal characteristics. Pupils benefit from our platinum award winning Forest School, deep commitment to Duke of Edinburgh awards, extraordinary expeditions and the value of public speaking and debating. Each develops self-confidence, resilience and problem-solving skills that will be essential in tomorrow’s workplace. We expect every individual to become engaging, innovative and collaborative contributors to the future.

Comprising around 360 pupils aged between 2 and 18 years, our school really is like an extended family. Pupils and staff know everyone’s name. Pupils, teachers and support staff share lunch in the same dining hall. Friendships transcend all ages and families become lifelong friends too. We expect every individual to recognise the important role of trust, respect and kindness within happy and fulfilling lives.

With a comprehensive minibus provision serving towns and villages across the region, we provide a unique opportunity for pupils of all academic abilities to enjoy the freedoms, experiences and rewards provided by an Independent education.
