A co-educational independent through school

Choosing Gosfield for Sixth Form

Our Sixth Form students are young adults and we treat them as such. Our Sixth Form Centre offers them their own, well-resourced study area, relaxing common room with flat screen TV and a cafeteria. Study periods are supervised to ensure that our students maximise their study time but they are free to use the common room and cafeteria for their relaxation and down time.

Excellent Range of A Level Subjects

We offer more than 17 subject choices at A Level. We assess our Sixth Form students to ensure that their subject choices are the most appropriate for them. The 17 core A-Level subjects currently offered at Gosfield School are included here and details of new or additional subject choices can be provided by the School.

Outstanding Academic Results

Our students achieve outstanding A -Level results year on year. This year every single student achieved a place at their first choice university.

Small Class Sizes

Our small class sizes create the perfect learning environment for our students. The intimate groups enable full participation, giving students the confidence to express their views openly and to argue a case effectively. This is excellent preparation for university lectures and seminars, when active participation is essential. Our students are able to focus on their lessons without the distractions which can often occur in large classes at other institutions.

Students enjoy a dedicated Sixth Form Centre with quiet study rooms, a spacious lounge and cafeteria.

Pastoral care

The personal and social welfare of each of our students is of paramount importance at Gosfield and our attention to pastoral care extends throughout Sixth Form life.

We are always keen to attract pupils who are highly self-disciplined, have a positive attitude to learning and enjoy the opportunity to work hard. For pupils who can demonstrate that they are performing well above expected levels of achievement, we are extremely pleased to be offering Scholarship and Honorary Scholarship Awards for 2017 admission to our Senior School.
