ISA Swimming Gala

Wednesday 16 October 2012
Well done to all those pupils who represented Gosfield School at the ISA Junior Swimming gala on Wednesday 16th October. All pupils swam brilliantly and did Gosfield School proud.  Particularly well done to Isabella Flynn-Haddon who came 3rd overall in the year 4 girls backstroke race and 5th in the year 4 girls freestyle race.  There were a large number of schools representing the south east with over 12 swimmers in each race.  A big well done to Michael Freeman who came second overall and just missed out on qualifying for nationals by less than an arm’s length in the year 5 boys backstroke race.  A special mention also has to go to the year 5 boys team who came 6th out of 12 schools competing in their age group, which is a brilliant achievement, as this is the first  time Gosfield School has entered the competition.  Well done to everyone who took part - you should all be very proud of your achievements, particularly as the standard was really high with a large number of club swimmers attending.  We are all looking to next year's competition.
