U16 Netball - St John's 6 Gosfield 5

Friday, 22nd September

On Friday 22nd September the Year 11 and 13 girls played Netball against St John’s. The girls started positively and took the lead in the first quarter demonstrating some fabulous shooting skills. In the second half St John’s started strongly and pulled ahead. In the final minutes of the game Gosfield fought strongly but the game ended 6-5 to St John’s. Player of the match was awarded to Joely Dunn for her accurate shooting and excellent movement around the court. We are all looking forward to the return match in a few weeks.

Year 9&10 Netball - Cambridge International 9 Gosfield 2

Tuesday, 14th March

Well done to all Year 9 and 10 girls’ who played Cambridge International School on Tuesday 14th March. The girls played 2 separate games. The first game ended 9-2 to Cambridge. After a rocky start Gosfield gained confidence and moved the ball down the court successfully linking some strong accurate passes. A special mention has to go to the defence who worked very hard showing super determination intercepting the ball successfully many times. The second game Gosfield won. A special mention has to go to all the shooters who scored some fabulous goals.

Year 7&8 Netball - Gosfield v Stoke College

Thursday, 9th February

Well done to all Year 7 and 8 girls who played Netball against Stoke College on Thursday 9th February. The green team won their game 14-11. It was a very close game throughout. The girls worked incredibly hard displaying great enthusiasm and team spirit. The team managed to string together some accurate strong passes to take the lead. A special mention has to go to all 3 shooters Roxy, Madi and Grace for scoring some excellent goals. The Blue team lost their game 6-0 but showed great determination throughout their game. A special mention has to go to Libby and Bella for working really hard getting into space and making some excellent interceptions. We are all looking forward to the return match next half term. Well done to all the girls who played!

Year 9&10 Netball - Stoke College 10 Gosfield 13

Tuesday, 7th February

Well done to all year 9 and 10 girls who played Netball against Stoke College on Tuesday 7th February. The girls started the game confidently with some very accurate shooting. The end of the first half Gosfield led 8 goals to 2. The second half started with Stoke showing determination pulling the score back to 7 goals to Gosfield’s 11. The final quarter commenced with Gosfield girls working very hard in defence making some fantastic interceptions. The final score was 13-10 to Gosfield. A special mention has to go to both Evie and Joely for their super efforts throughout the game. Well done girls!!!

Year 9&10 Netball - Gosfield 14 New Eccles 5

Tuesday, 24th January

Well done to all year 9 and 10 girls who played netball against New Eccles school on Tuesday 24th January. The girls won the game 14-5 and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship throughout. A special mention has to go to Joely who shot some fabulous goals! Well done to everyone!
