The pupils all did absolutely amazing and should all be very proud of their achievements. This year’s standard of competition was incredibly high.

Results as follows:

  • Joely Dunn - 6th in the relay
  • Scarlett Williams - 6th in the 1500m
  • Maddie Greenwood - 4th in the hurdles and 4th in the high jump
  • Esther Wilkins - 5th in the high jump and Silver in the discus
  • Madison McCrory - Silver in the high jump
  • Zac Mathews - Bronze in the 80m
  • Leisha Hunt - 4th in the relay, Silver in the 200m and National Champion winning Gold in the Long Jump – jumping an impressive 5.25 metres just 4cm’s behind the National record

What an amazing action packed day!

What a credit all pupils were to the school they were an absolute pleasure to take and should all be very proud of their efforts and achievements!

I think we have broken our school record for the number of medals won!

  • Leisha Hunt - Gold 200m, Gold Long Jump with a PB jumping over 5.00m and Gold in the relay
  • Maddie Greenwood - Gold high jump, Gold hurdles and Bronze in the relay
  • Madi McCrory - Gold high jump, Bronze long jump and Silver in the relay
  • Scarlett Williams - Gold 1500m, 5th long jump and bronze in the relay
  • Esther Wilkins - Gold high jump, Gold discus and Gold in the relay
  • Emily Bartlett - Gold in the triple jump and Silver in the relay

The pupils listed above are all off to Birmingham for the National Competition to represent East Anglia

  • Robyn Locke - Silver in the shot and Bronze in the discus
  • Henry Green - Silver in the javelin and 4th in the discus
  • Ben McQuillan - Silver in the triple jump and Silver in the relay
  • Claudia Watts - Bronze in the 800m
  • Poppy Saunders - 4th in the shot
  • James Horslen - 7th javelin
  • Ben Wyss - Bronze in the 1500m, Silver in the relay and 6th in the long jump
  • Alex Allen - Bronze in the 200m and Bronze in the 100m
  • Katelyn - 4th in the javelin
  • Freddy Calvert - Silver in the long jump, 4th in the relay and 5th in the 800m
  • Bella Fairs - 7th in the javelin
  • Ben King - Silver in the discus and 6th in the shot
  • Tom Swift - Silver in the high jump and Bronze in the shot put
  • Charlie Bell - 4th in the high jump and 5th in the 300m
  • Libby Lawrence - Bronze in the relay and 4th in the javelin
  • Alex Little- 5th in the 1500m
  • Amelia Ward - 6th I the 1500m
  • Charlotte Bate - 4th in the 100m and 4th in the 200m
  • Oliver Ings - 5th in the 100m and 4th in the 200m
  • Lucy Morris - Silver in the 100m and Gold in the relay
  • Joely Dunn - Silver in the 100m and Silver in the relay
  • Abbie Bretton - 6th in the 800m
  • Sam Hume - 5th in the 800m and Silver in the relay

Congratulations to Bowen McCrory, Emma Lovegrove, Issie Woko, Ellie Toogood and Ellisha Rahim who qualified for the ISA National Athletics Competition which was held on Monday 17th June at The Alexander Stadium Birmingham. Bowen McCrory came 5th in the 1500m and narrowly missed out on a bronze medal in the 100m sprint which was a very competitive race. Bowen also achieved a bronze medal in the relay. Well done Bowen. Emma Lovegrove came 6th in the 1500m and 7th in the 800m. Well done Emma particularly as Emma was competing against mainly year 9 pupils because of the joint age categories. Issie Woko achieved a bronze medal in the relay event. Which was excellent once again as Issie was competing in a joint age categories and has another year in this age group. Ellie Toogood ran an awesome second leg as part of the relay team unfortunately the team came 6th overall. Well done Ellie. Finally Elisha Rahim achieved a silver medal in the triple jump. Well done Ellisha. All competitors should be very proud of their achievements. The standard was incredibly high this year. Well done to everyone who took part!!! We are looking forward to next year’s competition.

Well done to the Prep School who took part in the East Anglia Junior ISA Athletic Championships at Garons Park Southend on Friday 7th June. It was a brilliant action packed day with some excellent achievements thoroughly enjoyed by all. Congratulations to Madison McCrory who won a silver medal in the year 6 high jump. A special mention also has to go to the year 3’s who took part a year early. We are all looking forward to next year’s competition. Well done to everyone involved the standard of competition was incredibly high this year.
